ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Timothy Adamson and Deceased Members Scholarship Fund
This Local 154 Scholarship was established to provide an annual scholarship to a member’s dependent child in the name and memory of our deceased members and Timothy Adamson, a Local 154 apprentice, who died on June 14, 2004, while working on the Scrubgrass Power Plant Project.
The scholarship application process will start May 1st thru July. Details will be furnished to you via our newsletter and/or a membership communication.
Other Scholarships
The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers sponsors Annual Scholarships to all members throughout the United States and the application process begins January 1st through March.
Information will be available at our Union Hall in January 2011.
A Building Trades Scholarship is awarded each year, to a dependent child of a Building Trades affiliate’s member. Details concerning this Scholarship will be available in the spring.
The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO has announced the 2011 Scholarship Essay Contest. Applications are available at the Boilermakers Hall or click to access the PA AFL-CIO Contest Brochure www.paaflcio.org. The deadline for the contest submissions is January 31, 2011.
