NATIONAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE/SUPPORT PROGRAM

Boilermakers Local 154 is strongly committed to the safety of our members. We believe that a key component to a safe and healthy job site extends beyond the job site. We work hard to keep our members drug and alcohol free.

The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers has implemented a MOST National Substance Abuse Program. The mission of the program is to provide early intervention and quality treatment for members suffering from drug or alcohol dependency so that they can return to a normal life with their family and the boilermaker workforce.

Local 154 has taken a proactive approach to ensuring that the national program is effectively implemented. We encourage our members to receive treatment, and we have had tremendous success with our intervention strategy. We help our member access treatment and receive follow-up care to remain drug and alcohol free. The Local 154 Support Group includes seventeen members who are available to share personal experiences to help support members who are working to overcome drug or alcohol dependency.
