The Boilermakers Local 154 LEAP Committee conducts a continuing education program to ensure that all of our members and eligible family members are informed on the legislative issues that relate to our union, are registered to vote, and vote in all elections. At the same time we work to defeat anti-labor initiatives. The LEAP Committee endorses the introduction and passage of legislation that will benefit working Americans and their families.
The LEAP Committee holds quarterly meetings to discuss upcoming legislation and ways to continue to build member awareness. The LEAP Committee organizes volunteers for phone banking, worksite leafleting, and Labor Walks for upcoming elections. It is the LEAP Committee’s goal to educate and mobilize our members to vote to ensure a better economy and a more secure future for our brothers, sisters and working families.
