MEET OUR STAFF OF OFFICERS

 

Raymond C. Ventrone
Business Manager

Local 154 Business Manager, Raymond C. Ventrone is a second generation Boilermaker, who began his career in the Boilermaker Construction Industry in 1974. Raymond worked more than 20 years in the field before his appointment as a Business Agent in 1993. He held numerous positions for our Local Union and was elected to the Executive Board for four consecutive terms. In 1996, Raymond was elected Business Manager and was re-elected in 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2008. He is extremely dedicated to serving our union, and working hard to secure our position as one of the strongest locals in the country. In addition to Raymond’s responsibilities as Local 154 Business Manager, he servers on the following local and International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Exceutive Councils Committes:

• Legislative Education Action Program (LEAP) for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers
• Trustee – National Pension Fund
• Trustee – National Annuity Fund
• Trustee – Boilermakers National Apprenticeship Program

Daniel J. Quinn
Financial Secretary/ Treasurer/ Business Agent

Daniel J. Quinn was initiated into Boilermakers Local 154 on September 29, 1975 as a third generation Boilermaker. After an extended career in the Boilermaker Construction Industry and while working as a Boilermaker, he was elected as a delegate to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Convention in 1981, Dan was elected to the office of Financial Secretary/Treasurer in 1991 and was appointed as a Business Agent of Local 154 and serves our union in the following capacities:

• Legislative Education Action Program (LEAP) for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
• Alternate Vice President to the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO in the year of 2004 - Present
• Alternate Vice President to the Pennsylvania State Building and Construction Trades in the year 2004 - Present
• Executive Trustee Boilermakers 154 Health & Welfare Committee in 1996.
• Boilermakers Local 154 BY-LAWS Committee
• Boilermakers Local 154 Negotiating Committee

 

John J. Hughes
President / Business Agent/ Apprenticeship Coordinator

John was initiated into Boilermakers Local 154 on October 10, 1977 as a second generation Boilermaker. In 1996 John was elected Local 154 Recording Secretary and began serving on the Negotiating Commitee and Social Committee. In 2001, he was elected as a Delegate to the International Brotherhood Convention. On July 15, 2002 he was appointed Boilermakers Local 154 Apprenticeship Coordinator, a position that he currently maintains, then in December of that same year he was appointed Business Agent. In 2005, John was elected President, then was appointed in 2006 as a Delegate to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Convention for the Apprenticeship Committee.

 

 

Michael J. Ventrone
Vice President/ Business Agent/ Dispatcher

Michael began his career within the Boilermaker construction industry in 1987, and was intiated into Boilermakers Local Lodge 154, on July 14, 1992 as a second generation Boilermaker. On July 1 2002, he was appointed as Dispatcher and Agent of Boilermakers Local Lodge 154, and currently holds these positions. 2005 Michael was elected Vice-President of the Local. During the time that he was a Boilermaker in the field, Michael was appointed to Local 154 Social Committee in 1997. He was also appointed in 2000, to serve on the Legislative Education Action Program (LEAP) Committee, and in 2002 was apppointed to Boilermakers Local 154 Contract Negotiation Committee and Boilermakers Local 154 Referral Committee. In 2004, Michael worked in tandem with the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Center to better serve the members of Boilermakers Local 154 until a formal committee was formed in 2007. In 2006, he was elected a delegate to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Thirty-First Consolidated Connvention, as a member of the Committe on Sergeant-At-Arms.
